At Beauchamp’s we take health and well-being of our staff and client families very seriously. With the current situation below are the measures we are implementing to support our staff and community.
Alert Level 2 allows for gatherings of up to 50 people. This would mean most funerals services would need to be private and by invitation only. Even though this is still somewhat restrictive it means we can still have a dignified farewell with the most important people in attendance and the ability to connect others via our web streaming service or Zoom.
From your FIRST CALL.
When someone dies and you make that first call to us, we will talk you through everything you need to know and offer professional considered advice so you can make informed decisions that best fit your situation.
When our staff arrive to transfer your loved one into our care they may have PPE (gloves and mask) on. Please be prepared for this. Our staff will maintain physical distance from you for the safety of all involved.
If it suits you we can conduct all arrangements remotely using technology (phone, email, facetime etc). Alternatively we can come to your home or you can come to us. We will ask you all the usual things we would normally.
Viewing of your loved one will be possible. We will talk to you about making appointments to do so. Groups of up to 10 are able to view at any one time. We will maintain physical distancing at all times and sanitise the room between visits. When visiting we will ask that you provide your name, email address, phone number and the address at which you are residing during Level 2 on a register kept in the room.
A funeral service can now take place with a limit of 50 people. To enable others to ‘get together’ using technology, family members could watch the service with our Web Streaming Service. And if circumstances require we can make a second venue available to accommodate another 50 people.
You will still be able to have a celebrant to run the service, service sheets both digital and hard copy, a slideshow, flowers, music, memorial photo books and more.
With the current alert level, Ministry of Health guidelines make it difficult to have a traditional “after function” however, talk to our team and we will see what we can do.
A burial will be able to take place following the service with a maximum of 50 people. With cremation, as our crematorium is in our facility you will not have to go driving all over town and everything can take place under one roof.
